Even though it’s Christmas, the Premier League is not taking days off. Once again there are some decent matches coming up on Tuesday and therefore we have to find some value bets. Liverpool is trying to close the gap on Chelsea against Swansea, Man Utd is facing a rather beatable opponent at home, and Tottenham is fighting for the final Champions League spot. Let’s take a look at a few of these matchups.
Tottenham is playing and everybody knows what that means — Harry Kane chasing and breaking records. The striker has been playing absolutely brilliantly not only this season, but throughout the whole year. He has scored 15 goals already and has been the ultimate difference maker for his team. However, it’s a different story for Tottenham as a whole.
Tottenham had a really good start this season but has failed to keep up their momentum. They are currently sitting in the fifth spot of the Premier League table with 34 points in 19 games. It’s obvious they have plenty of potential to compete with the best teams in the league, however they won’t be able to keep putting up great performances over a long period of time.
Nevertheless, I do expect Tottenham to win this game. Southampton is by no means a decent top-tier team and they have failed to perform, especially on the road against Tottenham, losing 6 out of the last 7 games. Tottenham is a young and hungry squad which has been playing well at home so far.

After a disappointing last-minute draw against Leicester City, Manchester United is looking to make up for that unnecessary loss of points. Jose Mourinho was heavily disappointed by his team and their dump out of the Carabao Cup was another huge surprise. If United wants to stay at least somewhat close to Manchester City, they just have to win this next home match against Burnley.
Burnley, however, is not a team who is going to give up that fast. They have been playing surprisingly well this season and have already accrued 15 points in 9 games on the road. I expect a hard-fought battle tomorrow and if Manchester actually manages to win this game, it will not be in decisive fashion.
