After 2 seasons and 1 Major, the Eleague is back on its favorite playground. With a $1 million USD prize pool, the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier will bring together the world’s 16 best teams.
The quarter finals will be starting a few days from now. We already know the eight teams that will make up the clashes in one of the biggest leagues of CS: GO, the ELEAGUE Premier.
The last group of the group phase of the Eleague Premier on Counter-Strike made its verdict on Sunday in Atlanta. Astralis won two games against Team Liquid (16-11) and Heroic (16-2) to finish quietly in the lead.
A perfect performance from Astralis so far in the competition has allowed them to get the first spot in the group. The Danish team will be accompanied in the quarter-finals by its compatriots, Heroic. The Scandinavian organization was defeated twice by SK Gaming (16-5, 8-16, 16-5, and 16-8).
As we enter the final stages of the tournament, 8 teams are still in contention, including French side G2 eSports. The competition started badly for the French, registering a defeat against the group Natus Vincere. However, they knew how to turn the tables when facing the same side, to grab a playoff spot. They will face the Americans of Cloud9 in the quarterfinals. Among the world’s elite, there is also team Astralis, winner of the Major last May, against a fantastic Fnatic side.
FaZe Clan will go up against EnVyUs. This is not going to be a little match, but maybe the world-class FaZe is in a better shape at this time. FaZe Clan won Group A unbeaten while EnVyUs entered the playoffs of Group C in second place. To end the pairings, Heroic, the other big surprise, will face the Danes of North.

The winner of the best-of-three series will advance to the semifinals while the rest of the teams will be eliminated from the tournament.
It shall be noted that all of the eight teams will get some of the prize pool regardless of their place in the event. However, all the teams will be aiming to acquire the big fish, the $500,000 top prize. Will it be the recently crowned champions of ESL One New York, FaZe Clan, or will G2 Esports win this title just like they won DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017? Let’s wait and find it out on October 10-13.
