Recently a Reddit user shared a photograph showing the all the roster changes of SK Gaming since 2014. SK was known as KaBuM at that time and since then, the team has surely come a long way.
Formidable players like Marcelo «coldzera» David and Gabriel «FalleN» Toledo have won the hearts of millions of fans. However, both players have progressed greatly to develop such a reputation in the community. In 2014 KaBuM and former CS 1.6 pro, FalleN, went into the pro stream of CS:GO. The roster at that time was so much different than what we know today.
Three years later and only two names remain on SK: Fernando «fer» Alvarenga and FalleN. However, if we assume that the signing becomes permanent, Ricardo «boltz» Prass is returning to the roster after two years.
In the very first lineup of KaBuM, we saw the extraordinary twins, Lucas «LUCAS1» Teles and Henrique «HEN1» Teles. They have been seen playing for Immortals recently. After their departure from KaBuM, they were replaced by Caio «zqk» Fonseca and Lucas «steel» Lopes.
Another user posted an image which highlights the journey of the one and only FalleN with different rosters.
One of the most incredible eras of the team was when the roster had a star-studded lineup: Lincoln «fnx» lau, Epitácio «TACO» de Melo, coldzera, fer, and FalleN. Under this roster, the team managed to win two majors back to back: ESL One Cologne 2016 and MLG Columbus.
Then fnx was the first one to break this incredible lineup and was replaced by João «felps» Vasconcellos. With felps, the team was quite dominant in tier one competitions.
They won ESL One Cologne 2017 and ECS Season 3 finals. Unfortunately, they were not able to achieve the milestones that they did with the previous roster.
However, the signing of boltz has proved quite fruitful for the side. They recently lifted the title of EPICENTER 2017 after a breathtaking final against a resurging side of Virtus.Pro.
The Brazilian side has surely improved by leaps and bounds. In 2015, SK had insufficient funds to compete in the qualifiers of ESL One Katowice 2015 in Poland. They received funding from the Panamera winnings of Fnatic, which was captained by Robin «flusha» Rönnquist at the time.
They were successful in the qualifiers and were playing under the name of Keyd Stars. The roster included steel, zqk, boltz, fer, and FalleN. After the wins over HellRaisers and CLG, they secured the status of legends. However, they lost to Vitus.Pro in the quarterfinals.
In the ESL One Cologne 2015, they played under the Luminosity Gaming banner and achieved the same result. They replaced zqk with coldzera and finished in the top 8 at the DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015.
After this quarterfinal defeat, fnx and TACO replaced steel and boltz. The rest, as they say, is history.
